Sunday School

Plymouth Congregational Church welcomes all children who participate in our Sunday School program.

Our Nursery is open to children up to the age of 3 during the time of worship.

Our caregivers provide loving attention to all who enter through the Nursery doors.

Sunday school welcomes children from ages 3 to 12. We strive to teach our children to trust in God and love each other. We want our children to have the courage of David as he faced Goliath; the generosity of the young boy who shared his lunch so Jesus could feed the crowd; and strength to help others as the Good Samaritan. In order to advance this faith and commitment, we encourage prayer, Sunday school attendance and good works. Sunday school is a year round commitment, and we pride ourselves in exposing our children to the year round walk of faith.

Our children are learning Bible stories from the Old Testament and Jesus' miracles in the New Testament. During Fall 2010, we will hear exciting stories about Ruth, Hannah, Deborah, Samuel, King Saul, David the Shepherd and David the King to name just a few.

Events such as Rally Day (September), Halloween Party (October) Heritage Sunday (November), Christmas Play and Christmas Workshop (December)

Jesus' Birthday (January) Valentine's Party (February) will be forthcoming and always looked forward to as a time for intergenerational fellowship. A monthly movie night with pizza and soda is also a fun time for our children and their friends.

Several times a year our children make cards to send to our shut-ins. They also support, through their weekly offerings, a 7-year old girl in the Philippines and work periodically to provide an animal through the Heifer Project.
