The Rev. Lloyd M. Hall,
Jr., D.D., D. Litt.
A native of Wichita, Kansas, he
resided there until heading east to Harvard for college. Home for a brief stint
as Youth Director at his home Church (Plymouth Congregational), he then entered
Bangor (ME) Theological Seminary where he met——and subsequently married——Hannah
Wing. Ordained in Wichita, ministries followed in Maine, Illinois, and New
Jersey before the relocation to Wisconsin. He has been partnered throughout his
ministry by Hannah who formally joined him on the staff (as Director of
Educational Ministries and Administrator) in Wisconsin in 1988.
The Halls
have three children. Lloyd 3rd is president of Racine Web Services and resides
in Racine with his wife, Laura, and their seven year-old daughter, Sara .
Jennifer Hall Roginski resides in Lansing and is Plymouth's Junior High Pilgrim
Fellowship leader. Younger son Martin and his wife, Sharon, live in Waterford,
Michigan. Marty is the Pastor of the Clarkston Congregational Church and are
parents of Rebecca, born February 2005.
He is the current and
re-nominated Historian of the National Association of Congregational Christian
Churches. He has served the national body in many ways including service as
Chairman of the Executive Committee (1986) and as Moderator (1991). He also
serves as a Trustee of church-related Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia. The
co-author of the NACCC booklet, Principles and Practices of the Congregational
Churches……", he has published eighteen articles for The Congregationalist, The
Congregational Journal, The Proceedings of the Wisconsin Congregational
Theological Society, and was an invited presenter at each of the recent Symposia
for the Congregational Churches. He also wrote, for the Pilgrim Press, the
manual for ordination and installation used by the Congregational Churches of
the NACCC.
